Wild Mushroom Foraging Tour
Love mushrooms, and would like to be able to identify slippery jacks from orange fly caps? Learn which mushroom varieties are edible, how to forage for them and how best to cook them on our Wild Mushroom Foraging Experience!
Join us for a day trip only just over an hour from Melbourne to beautiful West Gippsland. First up we meet local cooking school owners David and Michelle at a secret hand selected site just outside of Warragul for some morning tea before a hands on masterclass on identifying and picking wild mushrooms.
With the beautiful mushrooms we have gathered we will head on over to see chef Trevor Perkins of the award winning Hogget Kitchen who will cook an unforgettable 3-course meal based on the mushrooms we have picked! Trevor will explain how best to prepare and cook mushrooms in a variety of ways.
The meal will be matched with exceptional wine from ARC Wines; produced by husband and wife team James & Jess Audus, two of Gippslands best young winemakers.
